From the Principal’s desk

“Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.”

Albert Einstein

It gives me great pleasure, as the Principal of Charis High Academy, in extending to all our students, parents, faculty and staff my warmest welcome to a new and exciting academic year.

As we begin our new session, I cannot help but draw your attention to the school motto—Doctrina Perpetua or Forever Learning. In my opinion, learning is not filling our minds with information, but searching to better ourselves. In doing so, we open opportunities that would not be available to us otherwise.

Today, information is literally at our finger tips and children are a new breed of learners. However, it is still our responsibility as parents and teachers to work together to channelize our children’s talents and energy. Thus, I earnestly request parents to go through the pages of the school almanac, and check the almanac regularly as it serves not only as an important medium of communication between school and home, but also helps to establish valuable understanding between you and the teachers.

Students are advised to bring the almanac to school every day and to take note of the information and guidelines provided. I encourage each student to push your boundaries and take advantage of not only the academic, but the co-curricular activities of the school as well.

The road to success is never an easy one, nor is it the shortest one. As we gear into the new academic session, I urge the students, parents, faculty, staff and the larger school community to join hands as we take Charis High Academy to greater heights.
